Duane Theune, age 52, a resident of Francis Creek, passed away on Saturday, January 8, 2022 at Froedtert Hospital in Wauwatosa.

Duane was born on April 29, 1969 in Sheboygan to the late Donald and Elsie (Lake) Theune.  He graduated from Kiel High School with the class of 1987.  On May 26, 1995, Duane married Jill Dvorak at St. Anne Catholic Church in Francis Creek.  Although their union of marriage ended, they remained lasting friends.  Duane had worked at various cheese manufacturing companies and most recently at Manitowoc Custom Molding.  He was a very artistic person.  Duane did many drawings, cartoons, and some paintings.  He enjoyed shopping at thrift stores, anything science fiction, watching "B" rated cheesy movies, and hanging out with his friends at Wenzel's and at the family pond.  While Duane had suffered various health issues for many years, he always maintained a positive attitude, didn't let circumstances bring him down, and enjoyed the company of those around him.  Above all, Duane was a kind and generous person and enjoyed the time he was able to spend with his family and friends.

Survivors include Duane's sister, Gloria (Jon) Rosenbauer; brother, Matthew (Kristy) Theune; nieces and nephews: Charlie, Joe, Levi, Clare, Alexis, Zander, Aubrey, Kiley, and Clayton; many cousins, other relatives and friends.

A private family celebration of Duane's life will be held at a later date.  Cremation has taken place at the Harrigan Parkside Crematory and Chapel with burial of Duane's cremated remains to be held at Evergreen Cemetery.  Online condolences may be sent to the family at www.harriganparksidefuneralhome.com
