Obituary

Earl E. Cenefelt, age 83, a resident of Harmony of Two Rivers, formerly of 530 South 32nd Street, Manitowoc, left this world to meet his beloved wife Dorothy "Susie" on Friday afternoon, October 14, 2011 at Harmony of Two Rivers.

Earl was born on September 9, 1928 in the town of Cooperstown, Manitowoc County. He was the son of the late Charles and Alma Kopera Cenefelt. Earl was educated in the town of Cooperstown and graduated from Denmark High School as President of the class of 1945. On September 28, 1957 he married Dorothy H. Zuzanek. She preceded him in death on December 31, 2000. Earl worked many jobs over his lifetime and retired from the City of Manitowoc in 1988 after 25 years at Evergreen Cemetery. Earl was an avid hunter, fisherman, trap and skeet shooter. He and Dorothy spent many happy times at the cabin near Park Falls and at their trailer at Crivitz. Earl was President of the North Kennedy Fire Lane Association in Price County for twenty years, President of the Manitowoc Gun club for eight years and custodian another ten years. For eighteen years Earl loaded shells for the Gun Glub, loading over 350,000 shells in that time.

He is survived by two brothers: Royal (Mary) Cenefelt, Denmark, WI; Merlin (Dorothy "Dottie") Cenefelt, Maribel, WI; along with many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents: Charles and Alma Cenefelt; wife: Dorothy "Susie"; brother: Carl Cenefelt; sister-in-law: Maureen Cenefelt; sister: Marjorie Pearce; brother-in-law: Robert Pearce.

Funeral services will be held 6:30 p.m. Monday, October 17, 2011 at the Harrigan Parkside Funeral Home. Officiating will be his niece, Donna Powers. Burial will take place at Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc, WI. Relatives and friends may call at the Harrigan Parkside Funeral Home on Monday from 4:30 p.m. until the time of services at 6:30.

In lieu of flowers the family requests memorials be made to the Diabetes Association.

The family would like to express their sincere appreciation to the Dialysis Center, Manitowoc County Community Hospice, Susan Meyer and the entire staff at Harmony of Two Rivers which truly became Earl's family.
