Obituary

Elizabeth L. Ochs, age 66, a Manitowoc resident, passed away peacefully Friday, May 29, 2026 at her home surrounded by her loving family.

She was born January 29, 1960 in Two Rivers, daughter of the late Wesley and Winifred (Loeser) Coenen. Liz attended Mishicot High School, graduating with the class of 1978. On April 29, 2000, she married Duwayne Ochs at Grace Lutheran Church, Haven, Wisconsin. Liz was employed as a CNA at St. Mary’s Home, Manitowoc, and later with Foster Needle, Manitowoc. In her spare time, she enjoyed reading and watching soap operas. Above all, family was most important to Liz. She especially loved spending time with her children and grandchildren.

Elizabeth is survived by her husband: Duwayne Ochs; her children: Tori (Joe) Leiterman, Ken (Betsy) Olson, and William (Jennifer) Olson; grandchildren: Emma, Madysen, and Andrew Leiterman, Tyler and Hailey Olson, Ashley Goethals, and Benjamin and Gracelynne Olson; her siblings: Sue Alaperet, Erv (Katie) Coenen, Kathy Buyeske, and Mary (John) Zeldenrust; father-in-law and mother-in-law: William and Delores Ochs; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law: Debbie (Jeff) Meinnert and Jeff (Lori) Ochs; brother-in-law: Jaime Salomon; as well as nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents: Wesley and Winifred Coenen; her brother: John Coenen; infant sister: Karen; infant brother: David; brother-in-law: Bruce Buyeske; and nephew: Jaime Salomon; as well as other relatives and friends.

Cremation has occurred at the Harrigan Parkside Crematory, Manitowoc, and a memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, June 3, 2026 at Bethany Evangelical Lutheran Church, 3209 Meadow Lane, Manitowoc. Officiating at the service will be the Rev. Stephen Melso and Rev. Caleb Davisson. Liz will be laid to rest at Knollwood Mausoleum, Town of Kossuth, at a later date.

The family will greet relatives and friends from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the service at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, June 3, 2026 at Bethany Evangelical Lutheran Church, Manitowoc.
