Obituary

Elvi M. Huebner, age 86, of 3610 Schroeder Drive, Manitowoc, entered eternal life on Monday, September 13, 2010 at Aurora Medical Center, Two Rivers, Wisconsin.

Elvi Huebner confessed joyfully that Jesus was her Savior. She had no doubt about being saved by Jesus or her being in heaven. God promises, "The wages of sin is death, but the
gift of God is eternal life in Jesus Christ our Lord." She asked her children, whom she loved and who had brought her great joy, never to forget these instructions of Christ to be faithful to him until death and to proclaim his gospel to every nation. She wanted all of you who know Jesus as their Savior to share God's Word of salvation in Christ with everyone at home and wherever you go in the world. May God grant you peace, love and strength as he guides you through this life. Then at the end of time, we will be united in heaven as God's happy family.

Elvi was born February 20, 1924 in Manitowoc. She was the daughter of the late Emil and Dora (Wagner) Jirikowic. Elvi was a graduate of Lincoln High School with the class of 1942. On May 23, 1953 she married Norbert J. Huebner at First German Ev. Lutheran Church, Manitowoc. He preceded her in death on February 20, 2010. Elvi was employed at Manitowoc Shipbuilding doing office work during World War II until her marriage. In later years she was employed at the Manitowoc Eye Clinic for 22 years from where she retired in 1998. She was a member of Bethany Ev. Lutheran Church, OWLS, and the Manitowoc Lutheran High School Ladies Guild. Elvi was also a volunteer at Holy Family Memorial with the Medicare program.
