Ernest "Ernie" A. Holschbach, age 91, a resident of Felician Village, and formerly of Mequon, entered eternal life on Sunday, December 2, 2018 at St. Mary's Home at Felician Village.

Ernie was born on January 7, 1927 in Manitowoc County to the late Ernst and Hedwig (Bartnik) Holschbach.  He graduated from Lincoln High School.  On July 10, 1954, Ernie married Elaine Fogeltanz at St. Paul's Catholic Church in Manitowoc.  She preceded him in death on February 7, 1981.  Ernie had worked at Manitowoc Grey Iron Foundry for many years until his retirement.  He was active in the Manitowoc Bowling Association for many years and had also served as Secretary.  Ernie enjoyed bowling, playing softball, and gardening.

Survivors include Ernie's four children, Tessie (Dave) Vraney, Kathy Holschbach, Sue (Jim) Clark, and Jon (Shanon) Holschbach, all of Manitowoc; six grandchildren, Beth (Dave) Markley, Ryan (Jill) Vraney, Samantha (Kyle) Nathe, Matt Vraney, Laura Vraney and special friend Nick Braun, and Willis Clark and special friend Amanda Baryenbruch; great granddaughter, Lila Markley; a special friend, Delores Krancus; also other relatives and friends.  Ernie was preceded in death by his parents, Ernst and Hedwig Holschbach; his first wife, Elaine; brother, Raymond Holschbach; two sisters, Irene Shimon and Ruth Holschbach; and his last two wives, Evie and Dee Holschbach.

Funeral services will be held at noon on Thursday, December 6, 2018 in the Blessed Angela Chapel at St. Mary's Home at Felician Village, 1635 South 21 ^st Street, Manitowoc.  The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Rev. Dave Pleier with burial to take place at Calvary Cemetery.  The family will greet relatives and friends at the Blessed Angela Chapel on Thursday from 11 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at noon.  Online condolences may be sent to the family at www.harriganparksidefuneralhome.com
