Esther M. Rieck, age 96, a longtime resident of Philippen Street, Manitowoc, entered eternal life on Saturday, May 31, 2015 at Shady Lane Nursing Care Center, Manitowoc where she had resided the past ten years.

Esther was born on November 17, 1918 in Manitowoc. She was the daughter of the late Arthur and Clara (Lutze) Rieck. She was educated in Manitowoc and was a graduate of Lincoln High School with the class of 1936. Esther spent her working career as a manager of cosmetic departments at several stores including Burstedies Drugs, Boston Store, Johnson Hills, and North End Drug Store. She also provided home care services for many years. Esther was a lifelong member of First German Ev. Lutheran Church. She was an avid Green Bay Packer football fan with season tickets for many years.

She is survived by one nephew: William Siggelkow, Rochester, MN; grandnieces and grandnephews: Lisa Siggelkow Williams, Myrtle Beach, SC; Amy Siggelkow (Mark) Duffing, Minnetonka, MN; Robert G. Siggelkow, Charleston, SC; Thomas Siggelkow, Rochester, MN; Mark (Sara) Siggelkow, Zion, IL; along with two great-grand nieces and three great-grand nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents: Arthur and Clara Rieck; one sister: Norma Siggelkow; and one nephew: Robert Siggelkow.

Memorial services will be held 11:00 a.m. Friday, June 19, 2015 at the Harrigan Parkside Funeral Home with Rev. Benjamin Schaefer officiating. Cremation has taken place at the Harrigan Parkside Crematory and Chapel. Relatives and friends may call at the Harrigan Parkside Funeral Home on Friday, June 19, 2015, from 10:30 a.m. until the time of services at 11 a.m. Following the memorial services a luncheon will be held for relatives and friends at the Harrigan Parkside Gathering Center located on the south property of the funeral home.
