Eugene Louis Tepiew, 80, of Manitowoc, passed away on Thursday, March 18, 2021 at Care Partners Assisted Living, under the care of Heartland Hospice.

He was born on March 5, 1941 on the Menominee Indian Reservation to the late John and Mary (Warden) Tepiew.  Eugene grew up and spent his childhood there while attending Shawano High School.  He worked as a welder at the Manitowoc Shipbuilding Company and for many years at Mirro Aluminum Company as a line foreman until their closure.  When he was away from work, he could be found enjoying the outdoors with friends or completing projects, enjoying time with his grandchildren, playing cards, or spending some time at his favorite casino.

Survivors include his children, Victor Tepiew, Mari Tepiew, Kimberly Schiesl, Kerry Lynn Tepiew, Spring Marie Copus, and Nichole Tepiew; 20 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; brothers, Brian Tepiew and John Tepiew; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Mary Tepiew; and brother, Arnold Tepiew.

Visitation for family and friends will be held on Friday, April 2, 2021 at the Harrigan Parkside Funeral Home, 628 North Water Street, Manitowoc, beginning at 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m.  Cremation will take place at the Harrigan Parkside Crematory and Chapel prior to burial at Rest Haven Cemetery, Keshena, at a later date.  Online condolences may be sent to the family at www.harriganparksidefuneralhome.com .
