Florence H. Gorman, age 85, a resident of Manitowoc, passed away on Thursday, May 9, 2019 at Holy Family Memorial Medical Center.

Florence was born on November 13, 1933 in Manitowoc to the late James and Minnie (Tegge) Sweetman.  She graduated from Lincoln High School.  On July 7, 1969, Florence married Clifford P. Gorman, Sr. at First Lutheran Church in Manitowoc.  He preceded her in death on November 5, 2002. Florence enjoyed dog breeding, gardening, fishing, and Irish music.  She was a very kind and giving person who enjoyed making meals and helping anyone in need, and also had helped provide home care for people in the Manitowoc community.

Survivors include Florence's three children, Bruce (Donna) Garrison, Two Rivers; Bonnie Strzyzewski, Manitowoc; and Brian Garrison and his special friend Valerie Hudson; six grandchildren; six great grandchildren; three brothers, William, Gordon, and Robert; sister, Nancy Vesley; also other family and many friends. Florence was preceded in death by her parents, James and Minnie Sweetman; husband, Clifford; three brothers, James, Eugene, and Orland; and two sisters, Helen Williamson and Rose Sweetman.

A reception to celebrate Florence's life will begin at 5 p.m., on Thursday, May 16, 2019 at the Harrigan Parkside Gathering Center, 620 North Water Street, Manitowoc with dinner for family and friends to be served at 6 p.m.  Cremation has taken place at the Harrigan Parkside Crematory and Chapel with burial of Florence's cremated remains to be at Evergreen Cemetery in Manitowoc.  Online condolences may be sent to the family at www.harriganparksidefuneralhome.com
