Florence A. Junk, age 100, entered eternal life on Wednesday, April 10, 2019 at Rivers Bend Health and Rehabilitation Center.
Florence was born on June 28, 1918 in the town of Meeme, Manitowoc County. She was the daughter of the late Anton and Clara Remich Noworatzky. On September 3, 1938 she married Albert P. Junk in the town of Meeme. He preceded her in death on September 29, 1992. Florence was employed at Silver Lake College for many years from where she retired in 1980. She was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church.
She is survived by eight children: Diane (Roger) Lothrope, Texas: Stanley (Mary Kay) Junk, Manitowoc; Allan (Darlene) Junk, California; Wayne Junk, Manitowoc; Clare (Robert G.) Schuette, Manitowoc; Jane (Gregory) Schuette, Manitowoc; Lynn (William) Sweetman, Paul (Chamaine) Junk, both of Florida; one brother: Reubin (Ann) Noworatzky, Mount Calvary; many grandchildren and great grandchildren, one sister-in-law: Sylvia Noworatzky, School Hill; nieces, nephews, along with other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents: Anton and Clara Noworatzky; husband: Albert; 4 grandsons, and one sister: Rita Shimek; two brothers: Roman and Roger Noworatzky.
Funeral services will be held 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, April13, 2019 at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church on Grand, 1416 Grand Avenue. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Rev. Dave Pleier. Entombment will take place at Calvary Mausoleum in Manitowoc. Relatives and friends may call at the Harrigan Parkside Funeral Home on Friday from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. with a prayer service to be held at 6:30 p.m. lead by Deacon Rich Bahnaman. The visitation will continue on Saturday at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church on Grand from 9:30 a.m. until the time of services at 10:30 a.m. Following the services there will be a luncheon held at the Harrigan Parkside Gathering Center, 620 North Water Street, Manitowoc, located on the south property of the Harrigan Parkside Funeral Home.
