Florence M. Montague, age 94, a Manitowoc resident, entered eternal life early Monday morning, February 29, 2016 at Field Crest Manor in Manitowoc.

Florence was born on November 20, 1921 in Manitowoc. She was the daughter of the late Joseph and Mathilda Simmer Van Zon. Florence was a graduate of Lincoln High School with the class of 1942. She did housekeeping and waitress work in Milwaukee and Green Bay. In 2001 Florence moved back to Manitowoc to be closer to her nephew Robert Senglaub and his wife Nancy. Florence enjoyed doing crossword puzzles, playing cards and bingo. She was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church.

She is survived by Nancy Senglaub of Manitowoc, the wife of Florence's late nephew, Robert Senglaub; Clark Rief of West Des Moines, Iowa, the husband of Florence's late niece, Barbara Rief; special friends: John Laurich and Robert Barmore, Atlanta, GA; two nephews: Thomas (Lucille) Husar, TX; Warren (Mary) Wagner, CO; along with other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents: Joseph and Mathilda Van Zon; two sisters and one brother-in-law: Lucile and Arthur Senglaub; Gladys Van Zon; one brother and sister-in-law: Joseph and Ione Van Zon; three nephews: Robert Senglaub, Donald Senglaub, and Paul Van Zon.

Funeral services will be held 11:30 a.m. Friday, March 4, 2016 at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church on Grand, 1416 Grand Avenue, Manitowoc. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Rev. Dave Pleier. Burial will take place at Calvary Cemetery in Manitowoc.
