Frances F. Leibman's Obituary
Frances Leibman, age 76, of 3003 Stokes Lane, Manitowoc, entered eternal life on Wednesday, March 14, 2012 at Froedtert Memorial Lutheran Hospital, Milwaukee, WI.
Fran as born on December 3, 1935 in Greensboro, North Carolina. As a child Fran moved to Washington DC where she graduated from Western High School with the class of 1954. She continued her education at George Washington University also in Washington DC. After college Fran became employed with American Air Lines where she served as a flight attendant. On July 14, 1962 she married the love of her life, Kenneth Leibman Sr. in New York, New York where they resided for five years. After moving to Richmond, VA for nine years, Fran and her family made their final move to Manitowoc, WI in 1977. She became employed with Paragon Electric in Two Rivers and then made a career change to employment with the Associated Bank of Manitowoc.
She was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church and was a volunteer at Holy Family Memorial Medical Center. Fran loved to travel and her favorite hobbies included gardening, sewing and traveling. She was a fantastic cook and loved to spoil her grandchildren.
Fran is survived by her husband of 49 years: Kenneth Leibman Sr.; four children: Elizabeth (Christopher) Leibham, Gurnee, IL; Mary (Glenn) Gramling, Sterling VA; Kenneth Leibman Jr. Lindenhurst, IL; Joseph (Nicole) Leibman, Fort Atkinson, WI; five grandchildren: Christopher Jr., Brian, Brooke, Ethan, and Jackson. She was preceded in death by her mother Cleta Leeth and her step father Raymond Leeth.
Memorial services will be held 4:00 pm on Tuesday, March 20, 2012 at the Harrigan Parkside Funeral Home. Officiating will be Rev. Dan Viertel. Cremation will have taken place at the Harrigan Parkside Crematory and Chapel. Relatives and friends may call at the Harrigan Parkside Funeral Home on Tuesday from 3:00 pm until the time of services at 4:00.
In lieu of flowers the family requests memorials to be made to Froedtert Memorial Lutheran Hospital.
The Harrigan Parkside Funeral Home and Crematory, North 11th and St. Clair streets, Manitowoc, is assisting the family with funeral arrangements.
