Frieda M. Nack, age 97, a resident of The Court at Felician Village, 1903 Division Street, Manitowoc, entered eternal life on Tuesday, October 28, 2014 at her residence.
Frieda was born August 12, 1917 in the town of Newton, Manitowoc County. She was the daughter of the late Henry and Bertha Selle Vogt. Frieda was employed at Mirro Aluminum and later as a Certified Nursing Assistant at the Hamilton Memorial Nursing Home in Two Rivers, Wisconsin from where she retired in 1980. On February 21, 1946 she married Howard A. Nack at St. John Ev. Lutheran Church in Newtonburg, Wisconsin. He preceded her in death on April 24, 2004. Frieda and her late husband spent many enjoyable winters in the warmer climates of the Rio Grand Valley in Texas, Arizona and Florida. Frieda was a member of Grace Ev. Lutheran Church, the Manitowoc Senior Center along with various card clubs and a crafter.
She is survived by her son: Leslie E. Nack of Florida; daughter-in-law; Christine of Illinois; three grandchildren: Elizabeth (Nick), Jonathan and Carrie; five great grandchildren: William, Tyler, Samuel, Thomas and Evelyn; one sister-in-law: Lila Vogt, Manitowoc, WI; many nieces, nephews and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents: Henry and Bertha Vogt; her husband: Howard; three brothers: Norbert, Elmer and Arland Vogt; one sister: Erna Kanera Brandt; and three sisters who died in infancy.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 1, 2014 at Grace Ev. Lutheran Church, 2426 North Rapids Road, Manitowoc. Officiating will be Rev. Thomas Pankow with burial to take place at Forest View Cemetery, Two Rivers, Wisconsin. Relatives and friends may call at Grace Ev. Lutheran Church on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services at 11:00 a.m.
