Gary V. Christensen, age 62, a resident of Manitowoc, entered eternal life on Saturday, June 4, 2016 at Aurora Medical Center in Two Rivers.

Gary was born on June 9, 1953 in Two Rivers to the late John and Caroline Kappelmann Christensen. He graduated from Evanston Township High School in Evanston, IL with the class of 1971. Gary then went on to continue his education by attending classes at St. Thomas Aquinas College and the University of Iowa. On July 24, 2004, Gary married Denise Hatfield at St. Francis of Assisi in Manitowoc. Gary had worked at Wal-Mart as an assistant store manager and was currently employed as an IT project manager for Market America. Gary loved spending time with his family and close friends. He enjoyed playing guitar, golfing, cribbage, spontaneous trips to the beach, and cheering on his beloved Chicago Bears.

Survivors include Gary's wife: Denise; children: Rhonda St Onge of Meriden, Connecticut; Amy Morin of Two Rivers, Wisconsin; Michael (Nicole) Tessier of Two Rivers, Wisconsin; seven grandchildren: Phil, Jake, Emma, Ian, Laura, Leeland, Oliver; sister: Pat (Tom) Burg of Merrill, Wisconsin; brother: John (Lori Berg) Christensen of West Bloomfield, Michigan, sister-in-law: Marilyn Christensen; also other relatives and friends. Gary was preceded in death by his parents: John and Caroline Christensen; and a brother: Charles Christensen.

A Life Celebration Social will be held from 4 p.m. until 6 p.m. on Friday, June 10, 2016 at the Harrigan Parkside Gathering Center, 620 North Water Street, located on the south property of the Harrigan Parkside Funeral Home.
