Obituary

George O. Pilon, age 80, a life long Two Rivers resident, passed away on March 5, 2024, at Manitowoc Health and Rehabilitation Center from Parkinson's Disease.

George was born on September 1, 1943, at St. Nicolas Hospital in Sheboygan, WI, son of the late George L. and Elizabeth "Betty" (Vert) Pilon. He attended St. Luke's Parochial Grade School and graduated from Washington High School with the Class of 1962. He served an apprenticeship at Mirro Aluminum and became a Tool and Die Maker. He worked at Mirro Aluminum and Hamilton Industries, from where he retired.

On May 4, 1979, he married Marie A. Becker at St. Andrew Catholic Church in Manitowoc. They were married for 44 years. George was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Manitowoc.

George enjoyed deer hunting, fishing, and walking.

Survivors include his wife Marie of Two Rivers; a sister Winnifred "Winnie" DeBauche of Two Rivers; and two brothers-in-law, Dale Johnson of Neenah and Terry Becker of Green Bay. George is also survived by 7 nephews, other relatives and friends.

George was preceded in death by his parents George L. and Betty Pilon, and a sister Margaret Johnson.

Cremation has occurred at the Harrigan Parkside Crematory and Chapel and a visitation will be held at St. Francis of Assisi on Waldo, 1121 North 14th Street, Manitowoc, on Monday, March 11, 2024, from 9 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. The Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. and celebrated by Rev. Doug LeCaptain. A luncheon will then be held at the Harrigan Parkside Gathering Center, 620 N. Water St., Manitowoc, on the south property of the Harrigan Parkside Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, memorials in George's name are appreciated to the Lakeshore Catholic parishes One by One Campaign. Contributions by check may be made to "CF- One by One."

The family would like to express a sincere appreciation to the entire staffs of Manitowoc Health and Rehabilitation Center and Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice for their compassion and loving care they had shown for George. It was very appreciated by Marie and family.
