Georgiana C. Braun, age 89, a Manitowoc resident, entered eternal life on Tuesday, August 6, 2013 at Shady Lane Nursing Care Center.

Georgiana was born on October 8, 1923 in Two Rivers to the late Alois and Anna Vanderbloomen Spaeth. On February 8, 1941, Georgiana married Fredric G. Braun in Milwaukee. Fredric preceded her in death on May 5, 1986. Georgiana worked at Aluminum Specialty Goods for 27 years until her retirement in 1985. In her retirement years, Georgiana was an active volunteer for Holy Family Memorial Medical Center, Manitowoc Fire Department, and the Manitowoc County Extension Office. She enjoyed spending her time going to her grandchildren's events, reading, puzzles, going on bus trips, and just spending time with her family and friends. Georgiana was a member of St. Francis of Assisi and the Manitowoc Senior Center.

Survivors include five children: Judy (Richard) Graff, Two Rivers; Dale (Sharon) Braun, Two Rivers, James (Carolyn) Braun, Port St. John, FL; Karen (John) Schaefer, Manitowoc; and Brian (Fran) Braun, Denmark; 13 grandchildren; 23 great grandchildren; one great great granddaughter; also other relatives and friends. Georgiana was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Fredric; and several brothers and sisters.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, August 10, 2013 at St. Francis of Assisi on Marshall. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Rev. Dave Beaudry with entombment to take place at Knollwood Mausoleum. The family will greet relatives and friends on Saturday at St. Francis of Assisi on Marshall from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 11 a.m. Online condolences may be sent to www.harriganparksidefuneralhome.com
