Gerald G. "Jerry" Rogers, age 75, of 1218 Shoto Road, Two Rivers, entered eternal life with his loving family by his side on Saturday, May 14, 2016 at the family residence.
Jerry was born on July 18, 1940 in Stratford, WI. He was the son of Genevieve Helmke McNellis Rogers and the late Louis Rogers. Jerry attended Lincoln High School graduating with the class of 1958. He was employed with Manitowoc Cranes as a crane operator for 42 years retiring in 2004. On October 19, 1975 he married Judy Urbanek. Jerry was a member of St. Anne Catholic Church. He enjoyed his travels to Hawaii and Las Vegas. Jerry was a nature enthusiast enjoying the outdoors with camping, hunting, riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle, gardening, and taking care of his property in the country. He valued spending time with his family and friends and especially taking care of his granddaughter Ava.
He is survived by his wife of 40 years: Judy; three children: Elizabeth (Wayne) Gilbert, Two Rivers; Matthew Rogers, Milwaukee; Scott Rogers, CA; one granddaughter: Ava; three brothers: Louis (Elaine) Rogers, Al (Vicki) Rogers, Mike Rogers; three sisters: Kathy (Jerry) Aulik, Nancy (Glenn) Denfeld, Marilyn (Craig) Miller; one sister-in-law: Katie Urbanek; special niece and nephew: Emily Kluenker and Eddie Urbanek; other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his father: Louis Rogers; stepfather: John McNellis; two brothers-in-law: Edward Urbanek and Chris Holdorf.
Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. on Thursday, May 19, 2016 at St. Anne Catholic Church, 202 South Packer Drive, Francis Creek. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Rev. John Becker. Cremation will follow at the Harrigan Parkside Crematory and Chapel with burial of his cremains to take place at Forest View Cemetery, Two Rivers at a later date. Relatives and friends may call at the Harrigan Parkside Funeral Home on Wednesday, May 18, 2016 from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. The visitation will continue at St. Anne Catholic Church on Thursday, May 19, 2016 from 10 a.m. until the time of services at 11 a.m.
