Obituary

The Lord has taken our wife, mother, and grandmother back home. Geraldine Marie (Klein) Mueller was lifted up to the heavens on Sunday, August 14, 2011 from Holy Family Memorial Medical Center in Manitowoc.

Jerry was born on December 8, 1923 in Two Rivers to the late Frank and Lorraine Van Lannen Klein. After her parent's early passing, she was raised by her grandmother until she could no longer care for Jerry and her brother Harlan Joe. They were then taken to St. Joseph's Orphanage in Green Bay when she was 7. Jerry and her brother stayed there until 1937. Her brother went with a family in DePere and Jerry went with an aunt in Two Rivers where she had worked in many homes doing various duties. On January 12, 1943, Jerry married Carl P. Mueller Sr. at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Stockbridge. In this union they had six children. She with her husband were involved with various volunteer work at St. Boniface Catholic Church in Manitowoc. Jerry was a member of the former St. Anne's Ladies Society. She enjoyed reading, sewing, gardening, singing, and above all cherished the time she was able to spend with her family.

The family will greet relatives and friends at the Harrigan Parkside Funeral Home, N. 11th and St. Clair streets, Manitowoc on Wednesday, August 17, 2011 from 4 pm until 8 pm. A prayer service will be led by Deacon Paul Kieffer at 7 pm. The visitation will continue on Thursday at St. Francis of Assisi on South 21st Street and Marshall Street, from 10 am until the time of the Mass of Christian Burial at 11 am. The Rev.
