Gladys M. Krowiorz, age 87, a resident at the Villas at Felician Village, Manitowoc, entered eternal life early Wednesday morning December 8, 2010 at the Manitowoc Health Care Center where she had resided the past week.
Gladys was born on December 17, 1922 in to the town of Franklin, Kewaunee County. She was the daughter of the late Edward and Clara Schneider DeWane. Gladys was a graduate of Denmark High School with the class of 1939. She continued her education at the Manitowoc Business College. Gladys was employed as a clerk at the City Dairy in Manitowoc and later she became employed as a nurse's aid at Shady Lane Home in Manitowoc. On February 15, 1947 she married James Krowiorz at All Saints Catholic Church, Denmark. He preceded her in death in March 1980.
She is survived by 5 sons: Robert (Anna) Krowiorz, Manitowoc; Richard (Denise) Krowiorz, Manitowoc; James (Patty) Krowiorz, Manitowoc; Russell (Pauline) Krowiorz, Manitowoc; Jerome (Pam) Krowiorz, Green Bay; two daughters: Janice (Joe) Laux, Manitowoc; Rita (Richard) Knowles, Manitowoc; 14 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, nieces, nephews along with other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband: James in 1980; two brothers: Lyman and Clement DeWane; three sisters: Loretta Kacynski, Rita Korte and Clare Coulon.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday, December 11, 2010 at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church on Grand. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Rev. Richard Klingeisen with burial to follow at Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc. Relatives and friends may call at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church on Grand on Saturday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of services at 11:00 a.m.
