Gladys E. Schneider, age 96, a lifelong resident of Manitowoc, entered eternal life on Tuesday evening, February 16, 2021 at Rivers Bend Health and Rehabilitation Center in Manitowoc.

Gladys was born on December 7, 1924 in Manitowoc.  She was the daughter of the late Anthony and Della Maertz Kortas.  Gladys was a graduate of Lincoln High School in Manitowoc.  She was married to William J. Schneider Jr. at the First German Ev. Lutheran Church Parsonage in Manitowoc.  He preceded her in death in 1979.  Gladys was a member of Immanuel Ev. Lutheran Church.

She is survived by her son-in-law, David J. Ramseur, Manitowoc, along with other relatives and friends.  She was preceded in death by her parents, Anthony and Della Kortas, husband, William Schneider Jr., and daughter, Connie Ramseur.

Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. on Friday, February 19, 2021 at Immanuel Ev. Lutheran Church, 916 Pine Street, Manitowoc.  Officiating will be Rev. Matthew Zimpelmann with burial to follow at Evergreen Cemetery in Manitowoc.  Relatives and friends may call at Immanuel Ev. Lutheran Church on Friday from 12 p.m. until the time of services at 1 p.m.
