Obituary

Gloria Jean Easton, 67, passed away unexpectedly in her home on February 13, 2021.

Gloria was born February 21, 1953 in Manitowoc, WI, daughter to Ralph S. Hubbartt and Burnell (Anderson) Hubbartt. She was one of 22 children. Gloria attended Lincoln High School, graduating in 1971, and worked in various health service, care-taking positions throughout her life.  Upon returning to her hometown of Manitowoc in recent years, Gloria took up a part-time position at the Piggly Wiggly.

Gloria was a self-proclaimed wild child, a gypsy at heart, adept at meeting and befriending people from all walks of life.  Her laugh was incomparable and distinctly Gloria with no pretenses.  She enjoyed good conversation and reminiscing, particularly if a hot cup of strong coffee was involved.  Feline friends were a constant for Gloria; rarely did she go long without having a pet cat to keep her company.  Gloria's greatest enjoyments later in life were her granddaughters whom she adored, doted on, and loved "to the moon and back again." It was not always the smoothest of rides, but Gloria lived the best way she knew how to and passes on a legacy of genuineness and generosity of spirit.

She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law: Anthony and Amanda (Gorder) Easton, Quantico, VA; two granddaughters: Moira and Vivian, Quantico, VA; nine brothers, including step-brothers, and two sisters: Delbert (Susan) Hubbartt, Knife River, MN; Ralph S. "Bunny" Danielson, Whitelaw, WI; Audrey (Gary) Mahloch, Manitowoc, WI; Ray (Nancy) Hubbartt, Manitowoc, WI; Roxanne Sieracki, Henderson, NV; Terry (Barbara) Hubbartt, Ocala, FL; Paul Hubbartt, Two Rivers, WI; Dale (Debbie) Hubbartt, Kiel, WI; Todd (Dawn) Hubbartt, Manitowoc, WI; Brian Hubbartt, Manitowoc, WI; Brett (Lesa) Hubbartt, Manitowoc, WI; and a host of other relatives and friends.  Gloria was proceeded in death by her son Christopher; parents Ralph S. and Burnell Hubbartt; six brothers, including step-brothers, and four step-sisters: Ralph R. "Dick" Hubbartt, Ronald Hubbartt, Norma Wood, Joan Glaeser, Dennis Hubbartt, Derek Hubbartt, William Hubbartt, Francis "Tootie" Lundgren, Mary Schoonhoven, and Jack McCall; and her beloved companion of many years, Bill Kampa.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic and in an effort to keep everyone safe, there will be no service or visitation at this time.  The family will plan for a private celebration of life at a later date.

Cremation has occurred at The Harrigan Parkside Crematory.  In lieu of flowers, any memorial donations may be directed to Gloria's son Anthony Easton.  Online condolences may be expressed at www.harriganparksidefuneralhome.com .
