Gregory J. Bennett, age 70, a Manitowoc resident, entered eternal life unexpectedly on Monday, October 10, 2016 while vacationing at Sault Sainte Marie, Michigan.

Greg was born on August 28, 1946 in Madison, Wisconsin. He was the son of the late Hyden and Helen Cottes Bennett. He served his country overseas with the United States Army during the Vietnam War. After being honorably discharged from the military, Greg became a nursing assistant working in the health care and hospital industry. He loved to travel and visited many place around the world from his youth to the present time. Greg was a member of First German Ev. Lutheran Church.

Memorial services will be held 1:30 p.m. on Monday, October 17, 2016 at the Harrigan Parkside Funeral Home with Rev. Benjamin Schaefer officiating. Visitation will be held on Monday from 12:30 p.m. until the time of services at 1:30 p.m. Cremation has taken place at the Harrigan Parkside Crematory and Chapel.
