Guy Joseph Martell, age 65, a resident of Manitowoc, passed away on Saturday, February 17, 2024 at Aurora Medical Center in Two Rivers.

Guy was born on April 8, 1958 in Manitowoc to the late Lawrence and Janet (Szymczyk) Martell.  After attending Lincoln High School, he worked at various places mostly on cars as a mechanic.  Guy also was a painter at Lee's Color Studio for many years.  He enjoyed everything about racing.  Guy "Wrench" loved working in the pits at 141 Speedway, and also as a spectator in the stands.  Guy had a route.  When you made it on his route, and / or if he was bringing you soup or any type of food, you knew you were important.  He enjoyed the simple things in life, but his gestures of kindness towards others defined his character.  Above all, Guy enjoyed spending time with family and friends, especially his sons, grandchildren, and great grandchildren (Becky too).

Survivors include Guy's two sons, Chad (Becky) Martell, Gallup, NM; and Jason Martell, Manitowoc, WI; six grandchildren, Dakota Martell, Lauren Mitchem, Delany Martell, Alexa Martell, Camden Martell, and Jamison Martell; two great grandchildren by Delany, Ashton and Maverick Allie; and three brothers, Greg (Marilyn) Martell, Tom (Kim) Martell, and Todd Martell; special niece and nephews, Marissa, Tyler and Adam; including other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.  Guy was preceded in death by his parents, Lawrence and Janet Martell; infant daughter, Lindsey; sister, Gay Lynn Martell; and two brothers, Mike and Larry Martell.
