Obituary

Gwendolyn A. Vreeke, age 87, a resident of Manitowoc, entered eternal life on Saturday, August 13, 2016 at Care Partners Assisted Living in Manitowoc.

Gwen was born on November 17, 1928 in Manitowoc to the late William and Theresa Zboralski Garry. She graduated from Lincoln High School with the class of 1947. She had been employed at Mirro Aluminum and later at Dave Rossess Clothing Store. On August 18, 1951, Gwen married Donald R. Vreeke at Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church in Manitowoc. He preceded her in death on January 18, 2010. Gwen was a member of Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church.

Survivors include Gwen's three grandchildren: Jamie Reindl, Heather (Travis) Orth, and Donald Reindl, all of Manitowoc; two great grandchildren: Keegan and Greyson; brother: Robert (Anne) Garry, Lincoln, CA; sister: Nita Palm, Mukwonago; also nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Gwen was preceded in death by her husband, Donald; and daughter: Cheryl Reindl.

Memorial services will be held on Thursday, August 18, 2016 at Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church in Manitowoc. Rev. Thomas Pankow will officiate with burial of Gwen's cremated remains to be at Evergreen Cemetery. Cremation has taken place at the Harrigan Parkside Crematory and Chapel. The family will greet relatives and friends at the church on Thursday from 10 a.m. until the time of the memorial service at 11 a.m. Online condolences may be sent to the family at www.harriganparksidefuneralhome.com

The Harrigan Parkside Funeral Home and Crematory, North 11th and St. Clair streets, Manitowoc is assisting the family with funeral arrangements.
