Obituary

Harvey L. Polivka Jr., age 72, a resident of Manitowoc, passed away peacefully on Saturday, April 4, 2026, at Aurora BayCare Medical Center, Green Bay, surrounded by his loving family.

Harvey was born on June 11, 1953, to the late Harvey and Rose (Kristinek) Polivka Sr., in Manitowoc. He attended schools in Manitowoc and graduated from Lincoln High School with the class of 1971. Harvey married Mary Graff on November 26, 1993, in Manitowoc. Harvey spent many years roofing with his brother-in-law Tom. He then worked at Kerscher Building and Heating Supply for 20 years until his retirement. In his retirement he kept himself busy working at Towsleys.

Harvey enjoyed playing softball and spent many years playing for the Linebacker. He loved testing his luck gambling, taking frequent trips to the casino, and playing cards. He also loved going up north to his cabin and catching the bluegills on Big Horn Lake. In his younger years, Harvey was an avid drummer. Above all, Harvey loved his family. He had a special spot in his heart for his nieces and nephews and was like a grandpa to them.

Harvey will be missed by his wife: Mary; sister: RoseMarie (Jim) Meyer and their children: Michelle (Jason) Pukita, Patricia (Mike) Goetzman, Jonathan (Sarah) Meyer; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law: Tom (Gail) Graff, Stephanie Graff, Carol Graff, Anne Wells, John (Alison) Graff, Charlie (Marie) Graff, Julie Rasmuson (David Mitchell), Joe Graff (Nancy Donahue), Robert Graff, Terry (Keith) Opichka; many special nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, other relatives, and friends also survive.

He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers-in-law: Glenn Graff, Greg "Stosh" Graff, and Tim Wells.

A Life Celebration Social will be held for friends and family from 11:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 15, 2026, at the Harrigan Parkside Gathering Center, 620 N. Water St., Manitowoc. Online condolences may be sent to the family by visiting www.harriganparksidefuneralhome.com.

In lieu of flowers the family would appreciate donations in Harvey's memory to Gumby's Club Fore a Cure.

Harvey's family would like to extend a special thank you to all the nursing staff at Aurora BayCare in Green Bay for the compassionate care provided to Harvey. They would also like to express a sincere thank you to Dr. Yetter and the staff of Lombardi Cancer Center. Your kindness and expertise will never be forgotten. Mary would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to her sister, Anne Wells, for all her assistance with Harvey's in-home cares.

The Harrigan Parkside Funeral Home and Crematory, North 11th and St. Clair streets, Manitowoc is assisting the family with funeral arrangements.
