Obituary

Hector Roy Duarte, age 51 years, a resident of Manitowoc, went to live with the Lord on Sunday, January 9, 2022 at Holy Family Hospital. Hector was born in San Antonio, Texas on June 24, 1970 to the late Margarito Duarte and the late Esperanza (Garza) Duarte. Hector was a great son, husband, uncle and friend.

Hector entered the Army after high school. He went through training for the Army Airborne and became a paratrooper joining the 173 rd Airborne. While serving his country he was stationed in Italy for a number of years. Hector was very proud of his service, the men and women her served with and proud of being in the 173 rd Airborne. His hobbies were watching TV and movies, reading books about war and soldiers, and The Bible. He loved spending time chatting with fellow veterans and bartenders at Wenzel's Perfect World. Hector was a huge supporter of anything to do with the Veteran's. He enjoyed going to Red Arrow Park, going out to eat at Four Season's and The Tequilla Place when he wasn't cooking his own favorites.

Hector is survived by his wife Annaizza Guerrero, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents.

A private family celebration of Hector's life will be held at a later date. Cremation has taken place at the Harrigan Parkside Crematory and Chapel.

The Harrigan Parkside Funeral Home and Crematory, North 11th and St. Clair streets, Manitowoc is assisting the family.
