Helen C. Rezachek, age 91, a Manitowoc resident, entered into eternal life on Friday, May 06, 2011 at Manitowoc Health and Rehabilitation Center.
Helen was born on October 27, 1919 in Two Rivers to the late Adam and Agnes Schmidt Nebel. She attended school at Washington High School in Two Rivers. In 1938, Helen married Adolph Rezachek at the former St. Mark's Catholic Church in Two Rivers. He preceded her in death on November 9, 1986. Helen was employed at Paragon Electric and Schwartz Manufacturing in Two Rivers. Helen was an avid gardener, enjoyed crocheting, sewing and being with her faithful dog, Molly and her family.
Survivors include nine children: Roger (Janice) Rezachek, Manitowoc; Mary (Stanley) Bajdan, Wild Rose; Carol (Bruce) Edwards, Manitowoc; Glen (Isabel) Rezachek, Manitowoc; Lynn (Dennis) Kautzer, Manitowoc; James (Connie) Rezachek, Manitowoc; Allan (Lynn) Rezachek, Manitowoc; Karen (Paul) Hebel, Tomahawk; and Sandra Kope and her significant other, Jim, Michigan; 25 grandchildren; three step grandchildren; 43 great grandchildren; eight great great grandchildren; daughter-in-law: Theresa Rezachek; her lifelong friend: Bernice VanEss; also other relatives and friends. Helen was preceded in death by her parents: Adam and Agnes Nebel, Sr.; husband: Adolph; one son: John Rezachek; one daughter: Susan Bajdan; three grandchildren: Bob Rezachek, Richard Edwards, and Chad Edwards; one sister: Anne Lasker; and three brothers: Clarence, Adam and George Nebel.
The family will greet relatives and friends at the Harrigan Parkside Funeral Home, N. 11th and St. Clair streets, Manitowoc on Tuesday, May 10, 2011 from 5 pm until 7 pm. A prayer service will be led by Deacon Paul Kieffer to conclude the visitation at 7 pm. The visitation will continue on Wednesday at St. Francis of Assisi on Waldo from 10 am until the time of the Mass of Christian Burial at 11 am. The Rev. Gerald Foley will officiate with burial to follow at Holy Cross Cemetery in Two Rivers.
