Obituary

Henrietta Marquardt passed away peacefully on April 11, 2023. We would like to extend our gratefulness to the amazing staff at Abridge Care Cottage of Chilton and Promedica Hospice.

Henrietta Evalina Moffatt was born on June 19th, 1940 in Marquette, Michigan, daughter of the late Harvey and Loretta (Mallette) Moffatt. Growing up picking blueberries and strawberries and being with the Clydesdale horses on the farm in Michigan was her idea of perfect. She and her sisters reminisced often about the farm. She spent her teenage years in Marquette and Appleton before moving to Manitowoc. She married Donald G. Marquardt on May 27th, 1961. She was a great cook and an even more amazing baker. The Marquardt family tradition of butterscotch pie at Thanksgiving will not be the same without her. Her family was her pride and joy. If you would like to honor her, spend time with your loved ones and cherish the moments.

She is survived by her husband, Donald Marquardt; her children: Kelly Marquardt and Michael (Debra) Marquardt; grandchildren: Gwen (Josh) Thompson, Payton, Benjamin, Braddock, Adalynn, and Jackson Marquardt; great-grandchildren: Ivan and Brianna Davis, Gavin and Ashton Thompson; sister: Lola Fissel; and two brothers-in-law: Paul and Lee Marquardt.

She was preceded in death by her daughter: Dawn Marquardt; parents: Harvey and Loretta Moffatt; two brothers and one sister-in-law: Bruce Moffatt and Harvey Sr. and Evelyn (Evie) Moffatt; sisters and brothers-in-law: Beatrice and Eugene Free, Loretta (Lorie) and Donald Schmitz; one sister-in-law: June Marquardt; and two nephews: Brian and David Marquardt.
