Herman John
Lubner Jr.
April 27, 1935 – April 13, 2025
Herman John Lubner, Jr. age 89, a resident of Port Washington, passed away on Sunday, April 13, 2025 at Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice in Sheboygan Falls.
Herman was born on April 27, 1935 in Little Kohler, Town of Fredonia in Ozaukee County to the late Herman B. and Martha (Biever) Lubner. He grew up in Little Kohler, WI, and was an Army Veteran as a Specialist 3rd Class supply clerk from 1955-1957.
On July 11, 1959 Herman married Donna J. (Derivan) Lubner at St. Mary's Church in Fox Lake, WI.
Herman was a dedicated employee of Bolens Corp. for 43 years as a welder and supervisor. He also was a member of the friends of Ducks Unlimited and a lifetime member of the Random Lake Gun Club.
Herman was an advanced wood carver of birds and ducks, a sponsor for Junior Achievement through Bolens Corp., and active in fishing, hunting and trapshooting. His grandchildren and great- grandchildren were treasures to him.
Survivors include four children: Kevin (Janice) Lubner of Germantown, Laurel (Pat "Chopper") of Goodyear, AZ, Julie (Rocky) Nault of Shawano and Steven (Sara) Lubner of Reedsville; seven grandchildren: Zachary (Rachel), Tyler (Maggie), Emily (Rudy), Nathan (Niki), Jared (Michelle), Carly (Austin) and Faith; eight great-grandchildren: Adelyn, Logan, Bo, Zane, Mila, Bailey, Raelyn and Layton; one brother: Mark (Bernice ) Lubner of Fredonia, and two sisters-in-law: Linda Gilhart of Beaver Dam, and Patricia (David) Meyer of Fond du Lac; and also, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Herman was preceded in death by his parents: Herman and Martha Lubner; wife: Donna; a sister and two brothers-in-law: Alice (Roland) Jacoby and Ervin Gilhart.
Cremation has taken place at Harrigan Parkside Crematory and Chapel in Manitowoc. The immediate family will hold a private memorial and burial for both Donna and Herman at a future date.

Herman's family would like to extend their thanks and appreciation to Brianna from Comfort Keepers, Maryann, Sherry and the rest of the staff from Sharon S. Richardson Hospice for the loving care that they all provided to Herman. The family would also like to thank Dr. Fitzsimmons for the care he provided to Herman throughout the years.
