Inge Appel, age 84, a resident of Manitowoc, passed away on Tuesday, March 17, 2015 at the Manitowoc Health and Rehabilitation Center.

Inge enjoyed talking with her friends who worked at the Piggly Wiggly grocery store in Manitowoc and always looked forward to her daily walks with her friends at the Edgewater Plaza. She will be greatly missed by her son and daughter. Inge was an exceptionally loving mother, singlehandedly raising and caring for her children after the early death of her husband. She always put her children's needs ahead of her own. Inge had worked as a legal secretary until her retirement.

Survivors include Inge's two children: Michael (Kristine) Appel, Manitowoc; and Joanne Appel and her significant other Robert Behringer, Two Rivers; two grandchildren: Jennifer Appel and Brian Appel; also other relatives and friends. Inge was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and sister and brothers.

In respect with Inge's wishes, there will be no visitation or memorial service. Cremation has taken place at the Harrigan Parkside Crematory and Chapel. Online condolences may be sent to the family at www.harriganparksidefunearlhome.com
