Irene M. Hauf, age 91, a Manitowoc resident, entered eternal life late Friday evening, October 27, 2017 at Rivers Bend Health and Rehabilitation Center in Manitowoc.

Irene was born March 5, 1926 in St. Paul, Minnesota. She was the daughter of the late Carl and Erna Voss Broesamle. Irene attended North High School in Minneapolis and graduated with the class of 1944. On September 22, 1951 she married Rudolph Hauf at St. Petri Lutheran Church in Minneapolis. He preceded her in death on October 3, 1977. Irene moved to Manitowoc ten years ago and was a member of Immanuel Ev. Lutheran Church in Manitowoc.

She is survived by two children: Juliane (David) Sachse, Two Rivers; Randall (Carol) Hauf, St. Louis Park, MN; four grandchildren: Sara Meier, Meredith Meier, Emily (Andrew) Ruzek, and Ryan (Carrie) Hauf; three step grandchildren: Anthony (Susan) Sachse, Jeffrey (Rachel) Sachse, and Elizabeth Blohm; four great grandchildren: Oden Ruzek, Uther Ruzek, Imogen Ruzek, and Jack Blohm; four sisters-in-law: Lois Broesamle, MN; Elsie Hauf, Frieda Hauf, and Gertrude Nuemiller all of Jamestown, ND; nieces, nephews along with other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents: Carl and Erna Broesamle; husband: Rudolph Hauf; one grandson: Adam Hauf; and son-in-law: Bruce Meier.

Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. on Wednesday, November 1, 2017 at the Harrigan Parkside Funeral Home. Officiating will be Rev. Daniel Sims. Entombment will follow at Oakwood Cemetery Mausoleum in St. Paul, Minnesota at a later date. Relatives and friends may call at the Harrigan Parkside Funeral Home on Wednesday from 10 a.m. until the time of services at 11 a.m.
