James G. Davis, age 32, a resident of Manitowoc, passed away as the result of an automobile accident on Thursday, September 3, 2026.

He was born November 10, 1993 in Milwaukee, son of Billie L. (Davis) Mott. James played Saxophone and attended Lincoln High School, where he played football. He later received his HSED from LTC. He was a proud member of Laborers Local #330 and was employed at Miron Construction. James was an avid gardener, enjoyed working on vehicles, and loved drawing and playing video games. Above all, he loved talking and spending time with his daughter Layla, who was his whole world.

James is survived by his daughter: Layla Rochelle Davis; Gavyn Urias Beechy-Vandergate, who was like a son to him; his mother: Billie L. Mott; his brother: Zachary P. (Sarah) Davis and their daughter Bella and brother: Talon J. (Emma) Striech and their daughter Amelia; aunt: Kelly (Shawn) Knapp and their children; grandmother: Linda Gieryn; the mother of Jim’s daughter: Kayla Beechy and her parents: Urias and Suzi Beechy as well as other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his grandfather: William A. Davis Jr.

Cremation has occurred at the Harrigan Parkside Crematory, Manitowoc, and a celebration of life will be held at a later date.
