James M. Geigel, age 53, a Manitowoc resident, entered eternal life on Tuesday, March 21, 2017 at his residence.
Jim was born on April 18, 1963 in Manitowoc. He is the son of William Geigel Sr. and the late Sarah Garrigan Geigel. Jim was a graduate of Lincoln High School with the class of 1981. He was employed locally with various companies. Jim was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, the Christian Experience Weekend, volunteered at the Christian Book Store and St. Vincent DePaul Society. Jim enjoyed bicycling before his health started to decline.
He is survived by his brothers and sisters: Bridget Geigel, Manitowoc; Patrick (Laura) Geigel, New Holstein; Sharon (Mike) Koeppen, Manitowoc; Timothy Geigel, Manitowoc; Raymond Geigel, Manitowoc; Colleen Geigel, Sheboygan Falls; Julie (David) Koenig, Manitowoc; Bruce Scheuer and his special friend, Ruth, Manitowoc; his parents: William and Monica Geigel Sr., Manitowoc; sister-in-law: Susan Geigel, Manitowoc; special friends: Thomas and Roberta Dewing, Chicago, IL; nieces, nephews along with other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his mother: Sarah Geigel; and one brother: William Geigel Jr.; and one nephew: Timothy A. Geigel.
Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Saturday, March 25, 2017 at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church on Waldo, 1121 North 14th Street, Manitowoc. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Rev. Dave Pleier. Relatives and friends may call at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church on Waldo on Saturday from 12 p.m. until the time of services at 2 p.m. Cremation will follow the funeral service at the Harrigan Parkside Crematory and Chapel. Jim's cremated remains will be laid to rest on Wednesday, March 29 at Evergreen Cemetery in Manitowoc.
