James P. Zimdar, age 69, a Manitowoc resident, entered eternal life on Saturday, April 2, 2016 at the Aurora Medical Center in Two Rivers.

Jim was born on July 29, 1946 in Carmel, CA to the late John and Eileen Mullen Zimdar.
He was a graduate of Lincoln High School with the class of 1965. On July 27, 1970, Jim married Kathleen Blahnik in Manitowoc. She preceded him in death on September 8, 2008. Jim had worked at Parker Hannifin for 40 years until his retirement in 2009. He was an avid golfer and enjoyed collecting model trains, cars and planes.

Survivors include Jim's fiancee': Catherine Wautelet, Kewaunee; son: Scott Zimdar, Cedar Rapids, Iowa; also other relatives and friends. Jim was preceded in death by his wife, Kathleen; parents: John and Eileen Zimdar; and uncle: Robert Zimdar.

A memorial service will be held at 7 p.m. on Thursday, April 7, 2016 at the Harrigan Parkside Funeral Home with Deacon Alan Boeldt officiating. Relatives and friends may call at the Harrigan Parkside Funeral Home on Thursday from 4 p.m. until the time of the memorial service at 7 p.m. Cremation has taken place at the Harrigan Parkside Crematory and Chapel.
