Jane M. Knipp, age 87, of resident at Shady Lane Nursing Care Center, Manitowoc, formerly of 3417 South 10th Street, Manitowoc, entered eternal life on Friday, December 23, 2011 at the care center.

Jane was born on April 5, 1924 in Green Bay, Wisconsin. She was the daughter of the late Joseph and Laura Alft Reitmeier. Jane was a graduate of Green Bay West High School and had been employed at Hamilton Manufacturing for 25 years. On October 23, 1944 she married Chester C. Knipp. He preceded her in death in 1991.

She is survived by two daughters: Patricia Ann Connors, Ohio; Cynthia L. Knipp-Jones and her husband Jeff Jones, Manitowoc, WI; four grandchildren; one sister: Mildred Droste, CA; nieces, nephews along with other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents: Joseph and Laura Reitmeier; husband: Chester Knipp; one son: Joseph Edward Knipp; two brothers: Arthur Charles Reitmeier; Joseph Edward Reitmeier; three sisters: Arlene Arcand; Bernice Edna Smith; Virginia Frances Shambeau.

With respect to Jane's wishes there will be no visitation or funeral services. Entombment will take place privately with family member present at Calvary Mausoleum, Manitowoc, on Tuesday, December 27, 2011.

The Harrigan Parkside Funeral Home and Crematory, North 11th and St. Clair streets, Manitowoc, is assisting the family with funeral arrangements.
