Obituary

Jane M. Spindler passed away on Monday, September 18, 2023, at Angelus Senior Living in Manitowoc.

Jane was born on September 8, 1941, to Lucille (Becker) and Eivind Steinsholt in Manitowoc. She graduated from Holy Family Nursing School, and in 1962 she married David Champion Spindler.

Jane worked for many years as a floor nurse on 5E, diabetic education RN, and in the hospice program.

After retiring she did volunteer work at First Reformed United Church of Christ, Rahr-West Art Museum, and Wildlife of Wisconsin; helping to rehab orphaned baby squirrels.

Jane is survived by her son David Champion Spindler JR (Annie Dueno-Spindler) and their children David III, Hannah and Eivind, all of Manitowoc, daughter Angela Cole Spindler (Eric W. Thiede) of Madison, and brother Robert J. Steinsholt of Kenosha.

Cremation has taken place at the Harrigan Parkside Crematory and Chapel. A private Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.

Memorials can be made to Lakeshore Humane Society where she acquired most of her beloved pets.
