Janet M. Moser, age 90, a Manitowoc resident, passed away Saturday, August 1, 2026 at Complete Care at Manitowoc (Manitowoc Health and Rehabilitation Center).
She was born January 26, 1936 in Manitowoc, daughter of the late Albert and Lucille (Peterson) Lutz. Janet attended Lincoln High School, Manitowoc, graduating with the class of 1956. On September 14, 1957 she married Ronald K. Moser at St. Paul Catholic Church, Manitowoc. He preceded her in death on November 1, 2022. Janet was employed at Holy Family Memorial in the purchasing department for over 25 years until her retirement. Following her retirement, Janet and Ron enjoyed wintering in Arizona every year. She enjoyed playing in her card club every month and was an avid Packer and Brewer fan. She also loved animals and nature. Above all, she loved her family, especially her grandkids.
Janet is survived by children: Gary Moser of Manitowoc, Greg Moser of Manitowoc, Lynn Moser of Sturgeon Bay, Jill (Todd) Andrychuk of Watertown, and Cindy (Greg) Paider of Valders; grandchildren, Haley Moser, Lexie Moser, Cameron Moser, Karleen (Arnold) Wernecke, Jonathan (Sirin) Moser, Kelsey Barnowsky, Maxwell Barnowsky, Cali Herrmann, Caleb Herrmann, Dustin Paider, and Kasandra Paider (Taylor Pokorski); great-grandchildren, Julian Wernecke, Evie Wernecke, Leo Wernecke, Jaiden Paider, Brooklyn Paider, and Jerome Paider; siblings: Robert Lutz, Al (Marilyn) Lutz, Thomas (Louise) Lutz, Donnie (Sandy) Lutz, Patti (Glenn) Sanville, and Barbara Zipperer; one brother-in-law: Jeff Moser; as well as many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband: Ronald; her parents: Albert and Lucille Lutz; her brother: Bill (Pat) Lutz; brother-in-law: Jerry Zipperer; nieces and nephews: Kim Lutz, Kurt Lutz, Michael Lutz, and Todd Tomczyk; and two sisters-in-law: Ginger (James) Tomczyl and Ann (Charles “Corky”) Baierl; as well as other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Friday, August 7, 2026 at Harrigan Parkside Funeral Home, 628 N. Water Street, Manitowoc. Following the service, Janet will be laid to rest at Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc. A luncheon for family and friends will be held at the Harrigan Parkside Gathering Center, located on the southside property of the Harrigan Parkside Funeral Home.
The family will greet relatives and friends from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service at 11:30 a.m. on Friday, August 7, 2026 at the Harrigan Parkside Funeral Home, Manitowoc.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Janet’s name to Lakeshore Human Society, St. Jude Children’s Hospital, or a Dementia charity of your choice.
