Jean M. Stradal, age 87, of River Wood Estates, 950 South Rpaids Road, Manitowoc, formerly of 2021 Menasha Avenue, Manitowoc entered eternal life late Thursday evening, October 11, 2012 at Holy Family Memorial Medical Center, Manitowoc.

Jean was born July 26, 1925 in Maple Grove, Manitowoc County. She was the daughter of the late Martin and Annie Morrisey Mangin. Jean was a graduate of Lincoln High School with the class of 1944. She was employed for 42 years with the Manitowoc Board of Education as a secretary at Washington Junior High School and McKinnley Elementary School. Jean also sold tickets for 15 years at the Mikadow Theatre. She also worked for three summers in Washington D.C. with the Department of Justice and four summers at Lakeside Packing.

On July 23, 1956 Jean married Howard A. Stradal at St. Boniface Catholic Church in Manitowoc. He preceded her in death on March 13, 2011. Jean was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church. She volunteered for three years at Peter's Pantry and for ten years she help count Sunday offerings at St. Boniface Catholic Church.

She is survived by one daughter: Ann Stradal, Manitowoc; one son: John Stradal, Manitowoc; nieces of which three were very close to their Aunt: Dolly Stokes, Lee Allen and Mary Ann Schroeder; nephews along with other relatives and friends which include a very special friend: Jeannie Loburger. Jean was preceded in death by her parents: Martin and Annie Mangin; husband: Howard; one son: Daniel; one brother: Leslie Mangin; three sisters: Mary Kadow, Martha Ann Mangin and Nora Eno.

Memorial services will be held 11:00 a.m. on Monday, October 15, 2012 at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church on Marhsall. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by
Rev. William Van Dynhoven. Burial will take place at Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc at a later date. Relatives and friends may call at St. Francis of Assisi on Marshall on Monday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services at 11:00.
