Jeffrey E. Hecker, age 53, a resident of Manitowoc, went to be with Jesus on Monday, April 16, 2018, at Aurora Medical Center in Two Rivers with his sister by his side after a short bout with pneumonia.

Jeff was born on November 3, 1964 in Manitowoc. He is the son of Vernon and Luella Vetter Hecker.  Jeff was baptized and confirmed at Bethany Ev. Lutheran Church where he was a lifelong member.  He attended Riverview School and later became employed at Holiday House for the following 34 years from where he retired.  Jeff loved to travel, going to Branson, Las Vegas, Disney World among other places with his parents.  He was a big fan of the Vic Ferrarie Band and was asked to come up on stage and perform with the band on numerous occasions at both the Capital Civic Center and the Manitowoc County Fair.  Jeff loved country music, dancing, bowling, and the Chicago Cubs.

He is survived by his parents: Vernon and Luella Hecker, Manitowoc; one brother:  Robin (Kris) Hecker, Manitowoc; one sister:  Dawn (John) Jirikowic, Manitowoc; special nieces and nephews:  Ashley Hecker and special friend Erick, Joshua Jirikowic, Ella Hecker, Lydia Hecker, August Hecker, and Wesley Hecker all of Manitowoc; great nephews:  Damon Hecker and Declan Hecker along with other relatives.  Jeff had many friends and was loved by all who knew him.

Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. on Friday, April 20, 2018 at Bethany Ev. Lutheran Church, 3209 Meadow Lane, Manitowoc. Officiating will be Rev. Robert Kujawski and Rev. Stephen Melso with burial to follow at Evergreen Cemetery in Manitowoc.  Relatives and friends may call at the Harrigan Parkside Funeral Home on Thursday, April 19, 2018 from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m.  The visitation will continue on Friday at Bethany Ev. Lutheran Church from 10 a.m. until the time of services at 11 a.m.
