Jennifer Ray (Hammons), beloved wife, mother, daughter, sister, and devoted animal lover, passed away peacefully with her loving husband, Doyle Hammons, by her side at Holy Family Hospital.
Jennifer was born on October 2, 1983, in Madison County, Indiana. She graduated from Eastbay High School in Gibsonton, Florida. On October 31, 2022, she married the love of her life, Doyle Hammons, beginning a chapter filled with love and companionship.
Jennifer was preceded in death by both of her parents, Jimmy Ray and Dellebetta Ray. She is survived by her brother, Eddie Lamb, and by the three children who meant the world to her: Leo, Damian, and Brianna.
Jennifer was a devoted mother who cherished every moment she could spend with her children. Her family was at the center of her heart, and the memories they created together will be treasured forever.
Her second great passion in life was animals. Jennifer had an enormous heart for them and would have had 100 animals if she had been allowed. Her compassion and love for animals were a beautiful reflection of the kind of person she was—caring, nurturing, and always willing to give love.
Jennifer leaves behind a family and loved ones who will forever feel the emptiness of her absence. She will be remembered for the love she gave, the lives she touched, her devotion to her children, her love for her husband, and her incredible compassion for animals.
The family would like to extend their deepest and most heartfelt gratitude to the dedicated staff of Holy Family Hospital and to the Manitowoc first responders who worked tirelessly in an attempt to keep Jennifer with us. Their compassion, hard work, and support during this incredibly difficult time will never be forgotten.
Jennifer will be deeply missed, forever loved, and never forgotten. Her memory will live on in the hearts of her husband, children, brother, family, friends, and all those fortunate enough to have known and loved her.
A Celebration of Jennifer's Life will take place at a later date.
