Jill Amy Herman, age 81, passed away Monday, September 4, 2023 at Frontida Assisted Living of Manitowoc.

She was born April 27, 1942 in Appleton, Wisconsin, daughter of the late Howard M. and Agnes E. (Smith) Herrman. Amy attended Appleton Senior High School, graduating with the class of 1960. She held various jobs over the years, from working part-time at a drug store while she was still in high school, to working at a photofinisher, cheese factory, book printing company, at a doctor's office, at a clinic, housekeeping at a motel, in a nursing home and finished her working days as a parking ramp attendant.

She is survived by her son: James H. Lornson, Kaukauna; two sisters: E. Marguerite Howard and Romelle A. Herrmann, both of Appleton; and other relatives and friends. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one sister: Carol Remter.

Cremation has occurred at the Harrigan Parkside Crematory, Manitowoc, and a visitation will take place from 12:00 p.m. until 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, September 30, 2023 at Appleton Highland Memorial Park Chapel, 3131 North Richmond Street, Appleton, Wisconsin, where her cremated remains will be laid to rest at a later date. At 1:30 p.m. there will be a short service followed by light refreshments.
