Joan Buhk Brull, age 92, a resident of Manitowoc, entered eternal life on Tuesday morning, September 12, 2023 at Shady Lane Nursing Care Center in Manitowoc.

Joan was born on August 13, 1931 in Manitowoc.  She was the daughter of the late Roland and Violette Sliger Metzger.  Joan attended Lincoln High School and graduated with the class of 1949.  She married Douglas Buhk in 1950 in Manitowoc.  He preceded her in death on May 7, 1981.  She later married Virgil W. Brull on January 25, 1986.  He preceded her in death on May 13, 1993.

Joan is survived by three daughters, Pamela Wheeler, Kaukauna, Renae (David) Schermetzler, Cleveland, WI, Kim (Joseph) Brull, Grand Junction, CO, seven grandchildren, six great grandchildren, one stepdaughter, Nancy Brull of Milwaukee, four step grandchildren, step great grandchildren, along with other relatives and friends.  She was preceded in death by her parents, Roland and Violette Metzger, her first husband Douglas Buhk, her second husband, Virgil Brull, sister, Shari Tech, and granddaughter, Cynara.                                  .

Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. on Monday, September 18, 2023 at the Harrigan Parkside Funeral Home with Rev. Dr. Matthew Sauer officiating.  Burial will follow at Evergreen Cemetery in Manitowoc.  Relatives and friends may call at the Harrigan Parkside Funeral Home on Monday from 10 a.m. until the time of services at 11 a.m.
