Joan M. Buth, age 91, a resident of Manitowoc and formerly of Washburn entered eternal life on Tuesday, June 22, 2021 at the Gardens of Felician Village.

Joan was born on October 13, 1929, in Denmark, Wisconsin, to the late Arthur and Magdalena (Schmitt) Johnson.   She graduated from Denmark High School with the class of 1947.  The day following her graduation, Joan began working for Mirro Aluminum in the office.  She also worked at the Manitowoc shipyard.  On May 20, 1950, Joan married Ralph B. Buth at First German Evangelical Lutheran Church in Manitowoc.  He preceded her in death on September 2, 1994.  Joan was a member of Redeemer Lutheran Church in Manitowoc.

Survivors include Joan's many nieces and nephews.  Joan was preceded in death by her parents, Arthur and Magdalena Johnson; husband, Ralph; four siblings, William (Mary) Johnson, Vernon (Theo) Johnson, Audrey (Lloyd) Benecke, and Lorraine (Gus) Lukas; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Vernon and Velma Buth, Elroy and Elaine Buth; and father-in-law and mother-in-law, Louie and Minnie Buth.
