Joan Phyllis Hoyer, age 90, a resident of Manitowoc entered eternal life Tuesday morning, March 6, 2018 at The Bay at North Ridge Health and Rehabilitation Center in Manitowoc.

Joan was born June 16, 1927 in Manitowoc. She was the daughter of the late William and Edna Mittnacht Kurth.  Joan was a graduate of Lincoln High School.  She was married to Earl W. Herzog in 1948 and he preceded her in death in 1954.  She later married Paul J. Hoyer on September 1, 1956 in Manitowoc.  He preceded her in death on September 20, 2015.  Joan was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church.

She is survived by two sons: Earl Herzog, Manitowoc; John (Laura) Herzog, Glendale; three daughters:  Linda (Mike) Konopacki, St. Augustine, FL; Laura (John) Schlei, Manitowoc; Marcia (Gary) Marylander, Manitowoc; nine grandchildren, three great grandchildren, along with other relatives and friends.  She was preceded in death by her parents:  William and Edna Kurth; her first husband:  Earl Herzog; second husband:  Paul Hoyer; three sisters and three brothers.

Memorial services will be held 11 a.m. on Monday, March 12, 2018 at the Harrigan Parkside Funeral Home. Officiating will be Rev. Mark Mleziva.  Relatives and friends may call at the Harrigan Parkside Funeral Home on Monday from 10 a.m. until the time of services at 11 a.m.  Cremation has taken place at the Harrigan Parkside Crematory and Chapel with burial of the cremains at Evergreen Cemetery in Manitowoc at a later date.  Online condolences to the family may be sent to www.harriganparksidefuneralhome.com .
