John Maclean's Obituary
John Maclean, age 68, a Manitowoc resident, passed away on August 17, 2010 at North Ridge Medical and Rehabilitation Center in Manitowoc.
John was born on September 19, 1941 in Chicago to the late Theodore and Mary Drake MacLean. John grew up in Burlington, WI from 11 years old until he enlisted with the United States Army at the age of 19. He was honorably discharged at Fort Ord, CA in 1966. John was married twice and divorced twice. He worked in the computer industry for 28 years until his retirement in 1996. Following his retirement, John moved to Manitowoc and thanked God everyday for bringing him to this fine city.
Survivors include three children: Robert MacLean, Nelly Maclean, and Marie Williams; one step son: Michael Parrish; one sister: Susan MacLean; 14 grandchildren; and 6 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one son: David MacLean.
It was John's request to have cremation take place with private family services to follow at a later date.
The Harrigan Parkside Funeral Home and Crematory, N. 11th and St. Clair streets, Manitowoc is assisting the family with arrangements.
The family would like to extend a sincere thank you to the staffs of North Ridge Medical and Rehabilitation Center, St. Mary's Nursing Home, and Hospice Advantage for the care and compassion they provided to John.
