Obituary

John R. Neuser, age 76, a Manitowoc resident entered eternal life on Tuesday evening, February 28, 2017 at the family residence following a short but courageous battle with cancer.

John was born on January 7, 1941 in Manitowoc. He was the son of the late Edmund and Alice Weber Neuser. John was a graduate of Lincoln High School with the class of 1959. He entered the United States Army and served his country overseas in Korea. After his honorable discharge, John returned to Manitowoc and became employed with Imperial Eastman for the next 40 years from where he retired in 1999. On April 22, 1967 he married Sandra L. Jarosh at Redeemer Lutheran Church in Manitowoc. John was a member of Redeemer Lutheran Church and the Valders Viking Bow and Gun Club. He enjoyed going to Ducks Unlimited and Manitowoc Fish and Game banquets. John was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting and fishing and passing on those traditions to his family and friends.

He is survived by his wife of 49 years: Sandra; three children: Craig (Amy) Neuser, Manitowoc; Chad (Brianna) Neuser, Manitowoc; Christa Neuser and her significant other, Sam Manderino, Middleton; six grandchildren: Brittany (Zac) Liermann, Dylan Neuser, Riley Neuser, Reed Neuser, Blair Neuser, Cole Neuser; two brothers: Joseph (Sandi) Neuser, Green Bay; Thomas Neuser, California, two sisters: Patsy (Ralph) Lemp, Sheboygan; Elaine Handl, Manitowoc; nieces, nephews along with other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents: Edmund and Alice Neuser; two brothers: Daniel and Robert Neuser; three sisters: Mary Ann Johnson, Lois Wallander, and Carolyn Pedro.

Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Monday, March 6, 2017 at Redeemer Lutheran Church, 1712 Menasha Avenue, Manitowoc. Officiating will be Rev. Zachary DeArmond. Burial will take place at Evergreen Cemetery with military graveside rites accorded by the Veterans of Foreign Wars Otto Oas Post #659. Relatives and friends may call at Redeemer Lutheran Church on Monday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of services at 11 a.m.
