John “Johnny” Resch, age 65, passed unexpectedly on February 6, 2026, in Rockport, Texas. Johnny was born in Milwaukee to his parents Arlene and Glenn Resch. He graduated from Custer High School in 1978. He then went on to be an apprentice sheet metal worker, and then became a Journeyman. Johnny worked for nearly 40 years at Butters-Fetting Company as a HVAC Serviceman. He was well liked and respected there not only for his competent and knowledgeable service, but also for his outgoing personality and his ability to make friends wherever he went. In 1984, Johnny married his high school sweetheart Nan and they went on to raise two children, Teri and Eric, in New Berlin, WI, while spending just about every weekend in Wausaukee, WI, where they loved to explore the outdoors together as a family. Johnny was an avid outdoorsman who loved to fish and hunt, and loved to share his joy and knowledge with everyone. He was also a lifelong dog lover -- he and Nan spent countless hours behind their beloved bird dogs. A generous and giving person, Johnny was ready to lend a helping to hand to anyone in need.
Johnny is survived by his wife of 42 years, Nan; children Teri Resch and Eric Resch; mother Arlene Resch; cousins; nieces; nephews; other relatives and many friends. He was preceded in death by his father Glenn Resch, sister Janet Resch, and parents-in-law Roger and Eunice Domask.
