Obituary

Judith M. Hablewitz, age 69, of 1902 Western Avenue, Manitowoc, entered eternal life Monday evening, January 17, 2011 at Aurora Medical Center, Two Rivers, Wisconsin surrounded by her family.

Judi was born September 10, 1941 in Two Rivers, Wisconsin. She was the daughter of the late Kenneth and Elberta "Pauline" (Semrad) Koch. Judi attended Washington High School in Two Rivers and graduated with the class of 1959. She had been employed with Kelvinator Company and Copps Food Center in the bakery department from where she retired in 2000. On April 8, 1988 she married Ronald Hablewitz at St. John's United Church of Christ in Manitowoc. He preceded her in death on December 6, 2010. Judi enjoyed bowling in Manitowoc leagues and was active with Kenny's Athletic Klub and the Manitowoc Jaycees in past years. She enjoyed spending time and doing crafts with her children and grandchildren and also camping with all of them.

She is survived by five children: Kraig Vetting; Manitowoc, WI; Kari Vetting of
Manitowoc and her two daughters, Megan and Heather; Kristi (Mike) Tuesburg of Manitowoc and their children, Joshuah and his son Jacob; Kenneth, Dustin, Emma-Jean, Michaela; Kim (John) Licht of Manitowoc and their children, Crystal and her daughter Sierra; Tiffany and her daughter Ella; Noah and Kendra; Kelli Tice of Manitowoc and her children, Karissa Herrmann, Taylor and David Tice; three stepchildren: Randy (Linda) Hablewitz of Manitowoc and their children, Alison Hablewitz and her two sons, Masen and Marshall; Adam (Sara) Hablewitz and Alexis Hablewitz; Heidi Jo (Chuck) Dehne of Manitowoc and her daughter, Hailey Mrotek; John Hablewitz, Manitowoc; three brothers: Jonathan (Mary) Koch, Manitowoc; Mark (Jean) Koch, DePere, WI; Steve (Becky) Koch, Waupaca, WI; nieces, nephews along with other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband: Ronald Hablewitz; one brother: Deacon Thomas Koch; one grandson: Kasey Herrmann.

Funeral services will be held 6:00 pm on Friday, January 21, 2011 at the Harrigan Parkside Funeral Home. Officiating will be Deacon Paul Kieffer. Cremation will follow with burial of the cremains to take place at Pioneer Rest Cemetery in Two Rivers at a later date. Relatives and friends may call at the Harrigan Parkside Funeral Home on Friday from 3:00 pm until the time of services at 6:00 pm.

Our family would like to extend their thanks and appreciation to the local nursing homes that took care of our Mother at Rivers Bend Health and Rehabilitation Center, Shady Lane Nursing Care Center and the Manitowoc Health Care Center. We also want to thank the Aurora Dialysis Center, the staff at Aurora Medical Center and Dr. Kordiyak.
