Judith J. Kolbeck, age 99, a resident of St. Mary's Home at Felician Village, entered eternal life early Saturday morning, January 15, 2011 at St. Mary's Home.
Judith was born on July 27, 1911 in Two Rivers, Wisconsin. She was the daughter of the late Charles and Pauline Oziol Rehrauer. Judith was a graduate of Hilbert High School with the class of 1930. On November 7, 1936 she married Walter Kolbeck Sr in Manitowoc. He preceded her in death on September 10, 1981. Judith had been employed as a clerk for several stores in the Manitowoc area and for the last 15 years prior to her retirement in 1990 she had worked for Berk's Incorporated in Manitowoc. Judith along with her late husband Walter, owned and operated Kolbeck's Bar which was located at the corner of South 10th and Marshall streets in Manitowoc for many years. Judith was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church.
She is survived by four children: Mary Ann Buege, Lynnwood, WA; Robert (Sharon) Kolbeck, Sr, Manitowoc, WI; W. Michael Kolbeck, Jr, Elcojon, CA; Richard (Beth) Kolbeck, Manitowoc, WI; one brother: Donald Rehrauer, Manitowoc, WI; daughter-in-law: Connie Kolbeck, Manitowoc, WI; sister-in-law: Lorraine Rehrauer, Manitowoc, WI; 15 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren, nieces, nephews along with other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband: Walter Kolbeck Sr; a son in infancy; her son Thomas Kolbeck; 2 brothers: Paul and Richard Rehrauer; one sister: Florence Vollmer.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 am Wednesday, January 19, 2011 at St. Francis of Assisi on Waldo. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Rev. Daniel Felton. Burial of her cremains will be at Calvary Cemetery, Manitowoc, Wisconsin. Relatives and friends may call at St. Francis of Assisi on Waldo on Wednesday from 10:00 am until the time of services at 11:00 am.
The Harrigan Parkside Funeral Home and Crematory, North 11th and St. Clair streets, Manitowoc, is assisting the family with funeral arrangements.
