June N. Schroeder, age 87, a Manitowoc resident, passed away Tuesday, October 24, 2023 at Shady Lane Nursing Care Center, Manitowoc.

She was born November 21, 1935 in Crandon, Wisconsin, daughter of the late Reese and Martha (Holbrook) Pitts. June attended Crandon High School. On May 5, 1962 she married James D. Schroeder. He preceded her in death on September 13, 2014. In her younger years, June was an accomplished dancer and singer.

June is survived by her son: Daniel Schroeder; sister: Dorothy Ford; grandson: Aaron Nicandro; nieces: Joan Pitts, Marsha Pitts Walentowski, and Patricia Ford Wagner; as well as other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents: Reese and Martha Pitts; her husband: Jim Schroeder; daughter: Nancy Elizabeth Schroeder; as well as siblings; and other relatives and friends.

Cremation has occurred at the Harrigan Parkside Crematory, and a memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, November 3, 2023 at the Harrigan Parkside Funeral Home, 628 North Water Street, Manitowoc. The family will greet relatives and friends from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the services at 11:00 a.m.
