Karen Michele Jergensen, age 70, a Manitowoc resident, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, December 24, 2024 at her home.

She was born April 30, 1954, daughter of Paul and Kathleen (Manning) Jergensen. Karen attended Waterford High School, graduating with the class of 1972. She married Gary Huberty in 1975. She was a hard worker during her life. She spent the majority of her career as a nurses aid. Caring for others has always been a passion of hers. She loved deeply those closest to her and was a strong individual despite many health challenges. She loved her family and enjoyed plants, cooking, and anything in nature. Karen also enjoyed sewing, music, and had a deep appreciation for the arts.

Karen is survived by her children: son: Nathan Huberty of Plymouth, WI, and daughter: Gwen Huberty of Manitowoc, WI; three grandchildren: Lydia Medina of Milwaukee, WI, Cheyene (Kevin) Narvaez of Oshkosh, WI, and Elijah (Rosemary) Medina of Manitowoc, WI; great-grandson: Giovanni Narvaez; two brothers: Matthew (Lisa) Jergensen and Jeff (MaryAnn) Jergensen; and one sister: Marcia (Michael) Szalewski. Nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends also survive. She was preceded in death by her parents: Paul and Kathleen (Manning) Jergensen; and sister: Pamela Jergensen.
